The Accounting Associate will support day-to-day accounting functions for the company. This role is responsible for processing AP, AR, preparing journal entries and supporting with sensitive and confidential information. Excellent customer service and attention to detail are key for this role. This position will collaborate with and support the Controller to provide accurate, timely and relevant support for a multi-entity Accounting team.
Responsibilities:
· Process AP invoices in accordance with contractual obligations for multiple entities.
· Process weekly client refund check batches.
· Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
· Post provider payments to open AR.
· Respond to provider AR inquiries in a timely manner.
· Support provider inquiries around distributions and advances.
· Assist with the semi-monthly provider distribution process.
· Verify and process provider and client check deposits and related journal entries.
· Enter weekly journal entries for DJLLC/CFIVE entities.
· Assist the Senior Accountant with annual 1099 reporting across multiple entities.
· Assist in preparing unclaimed property communications and annual filing.
· Meet assigned deadlines to ensure a timely month-end close process.
· Support general ledger reconciliations as assigned.
· Support bank account reconciliations as assigned.
· Research and recommend solutions for financial discrepancies.
· Demonstrate excellent teamwork with both internal and external contacts and personnel.
· Communicate with Manager on work status and issues that arise.
· Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws.
· Demonstrate continuous improvement in job knowledge.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
· Associates or Bachelors degree in accounting or business administration preferred
· 1-2 years of relatable experience
· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Experience with general ledger functions preferred
· Experience with healthcare program management software preferred
· Experience with Sage Intacct or other accounting software
· Thorough knowledge of MS office tools, with an emphasis on Excel and Outlook

Pay: $48,000-$58,000 per year
