Fantastic career opportunity for an Accounting Analyst in the Retail industry, based in Garden City, New York. The successful candidate will utilize their accounting and analytical skills to track revenue sources, monitor competitor activity, and maintain Point of Sale (POS) data.

Responsibilities:

• Employ Dashboards to track and analyze sources of revenue and competitor activity

• Efficiently work with portals, EDI Applications, and Microsoft Excel to process and maintain customer credit applications and records

• Apply understanding of GAAP principles to various accounting functions

• Analyze and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and other accounting functions

• Perform auditing tasks as needed

• Maintain POS data, ensuring accuracy and relevance

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or financial role within the retail industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Proven ability to perform accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with auditing processes and procedures

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner

• High attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Familiarity with financial regulations and standards in the cosmetics industry

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
