Description Robert Half is looking to fill the vacant position of an Accounting Clerk for an industry-leading organization with a growing team. You will be expected to successfully match invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assist in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This position is a permanent role and is located in the Richmond, Virginia area.

　　Your responsibilities

　　Manually or electronically post financial information

　　Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed

　　Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes

　　Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

　　Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

　　Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable

　　Handle general accounting tasks: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing Requirements - Experience with high volume data entry

　　Administrative Assistance experience

　　Administrative Office experience

　　Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
