Joa, Inc., 100 CrockerAvenue, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, United States of America Req #237Tuesday, January 2, 2024 Job Summary: The Staff Accountant Iis anintegral member of the JOA accounting team, performing specific tasksand requirements designed to support internal customers while ensuringcompliance to GAAP. In addition, this position backs up other teammembers and is responsible for monitoring and reconciling variousgeneral ledger accounts. Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions ofthe Job: Partner with the sales organization to gather informationrequired to set up new customers in ERP Provide various A/R monthly andyearly reporting Backup for the customer cash application process Backup for follow up with customers on past due payments (for posting getrid back up) Maintain and confirm accounting policies and procedures arefollowing GAAP Back up for international sales shipping values (customsdocumentation) Create the monthly customer AR aging report (Excelversion) Participates as part of the accounting team with the month endclose process Assist with AR and travel invoicing Occasional JobResponsibilities: Backup for ACH and Wire transactions Assist withgovernment census reports Assist with annual year end audit Assist withthe annual budget process Other duties as assigned by supervisor JobRequirements: Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance required 6months-1 year of relevant accounting experience preferred Previousexposure to Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Job Costing is a plusDemonstrated basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP) and internal controls Intermediate experience in MicrosoftOffice - Excel, with basic understanding of Word and PowerPointDemonstrated capability to develop, write and follow procedures PhysicalRequirements: SAFETY: Safety glasses and hearing protection are requiredwhile present on the assembly floor. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Occasionallyrequired to stand and walk. Regularly required to talk and listen androutinely sits and uses hands to finger and handle. Specific visionrequirements for this position include close vision and the ability toadjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Employee works in a typicalclimate-controlled office cubicle environment.
