　　The University of Chicago\'s Department of Ophthalmology and VisualScience (OVS) seeks full-time Academic Optometrists at the AssistantProfessor rank. Appointees will provide patient care in optometry. Otherduties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students,and scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package offringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

　　Appointees will contribute to the clinical management of patients in OVSencompassing a wide variety of conditions (including glaucoma),post-operative management, education, and scholarship. They will join avibrant and distinguished community of faculty colleagues and learnersat UChicago Medicine, the Biological Sciences Division, the PritzkerSchool of Medicine, and the University of Chicago and its affiliates.

　　Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have adoctorate in optometry or equivalent, and 2) hold or be eligible foroptometry licensure in the State of Illinois.

　　We especially welcome applicants who have completed additional trainingin the form of an optometry residency.
