　　Florida Atlantic University is seeking Academic Advisors I - Boca Raton, FL.

　　This position provides academic advising for the College of Business students.

　　Summary of Responsibilities:

　　Gaining advising knowledge for their unit and campus.

　　Developing an informed advising practice based on a theoretical framework.

　　Participating in professional engagement.

　　Providing general advising services.

　　Monitoring student academic plans to provide timely, proactive outreach to ensure degree progress and timely graduation using defined learning outcomes.

　　Reinforcing and supporting student degree progress, academic success and retention, in alignment with university strategic goals and initiatives.

　　Assisting with consulting with the Advising Unit and College(s) related to the development of programs.

　　Participating in student recruitment and onboarding activities on and off campus for individuals and groups.

　　Performs other job-related duties as required to support the academic mission of the college.
