　　Your Role and Responsibilities

　　Debuggers, creative problem solvers, and solution finders wanted. DFSMS (Data Facility Storage Management Subsystem) Technical Support is looking for summer interns. Do you enjoy scavenger hunts, puzzles, alternative numbering systems, and complex programming analysis? Then we may be looking for you!! Client Support is an always-changing and exciting industry with room to exercise your creative muscles in a way that directly benefits IBM clients all over the world. You will be working with a team of well-known experts in the mainframe industry -with many patents and publications to show for it -to solve complex and technical defect-related problems.

　　This position includes an introduction to customer support for the DFSMS family of products in addition to a software development project. Job responsibilities involve working within a team of other summer interns on a support tooling project while gaining real customer support experience through assisting in the analysis and resolution of customer-reported problems. Team members will also gain experience in managing customer situations and maintaining customer satisfaction.

　　Required Technical and Professional Expertise

　　Good written and verbal communication skills and a strong programming or engineering backgroundPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise

　　Any z/OS and Mainframe experience is a big plus

　　Pursuing a STEM or Information Technology related bachelor's degree

　　Location StatementSupplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law. The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
