Your Role

Your Responsibilities
To support theTransport Team with day-to-day tasks to ensure the smooth running of thedepartment.
Responsible for the fleet of LHR Transport vehiclesincluding all record keeping, servicing & maintenance, leasing agreementsof all Quick Vehicles.
Responsible for Transportfuel cards & Van Tracking Systems & Software, understanding the truecosts whilst trying to implement cost savings where possible.
Build relationshipswith all current Transport fleet suppliers and onboard new suppliers in theareas required.
Providinga leadership support function to teams, be inspirational and motivate staffto achieve performance/ goals.
Supporting with thecreation, reviewing, and training roll out of Transport department procedures.
Collaborate withother QSTAT LHR Operational heads /Branch Management to achieve best possibleresults.
Implementation ofany new policies and procedures relating to our processes and Maintaining thehighest level of Quality & Compliance in conjunction with the QSTATQuality Assurance Team.
Your Skills and Experiences
Specialist (Life Sciences / AOG) Courier Operation Experience.
International CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
Extensive knowledge of the UK Road networks.
Experience of planning collections / deliveriesthroughout the UK.
Comprehensive understanding of Courier / Freight Operationsincluding Import / Export / Warehouse & Transport.
Understanding of transit milestones(COB/OFD/TTA/POD etc.)
Comprehensive understanding of the various temperature-controlledpackaging solutions available on the open market to forwarders.
Handling time critical & temperature sensitiveconsignments.
Ability to lead& motivate a team.
Good Cost saving, numeric Initiative & financial ability.
