Hourly Position

　　Hold a Kentucky Experienced Surface Miner CertificationHold a Kentucky Electrical Certification from Division of Mine SafetyAble to troubleshoot high and low voltage problems.Self-MotivatedSafety ConsciousWilling to work weekends and Holidays as necessaryReports to: Supervisor

　　The essential functions of this position are determined to be but not limited to:

　　Trouble shooting electrical problems.Manual handling of equipment, parts, and materialsPerform periodic electrical inspection, including permissiblyMust be able to react to changes in productivity and handle other essential tasks as assignedAssist repairman-operators with mechanical repairs and maintenanceWork Schedule:Rotating shifts between days and nights monthly. Shifts are normally 10 hours. Periodically, electricians will have to work weekends, and/or holidays when necessary.

　　Position Summary:Employee must have general knowledge of conveyor belt operation and maintenance. Walking is required throughout the day; this distance may vary from a few feet to a couple of hundred feet in a normal, upright posture. Job may include operating a specific piece of equipment to diagnose a problem or for testing purposes. May include dismantling equipment and replacing worn or broken parts. Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must have the ability to climb and work off ladders, catwalks, and man-lifts. Ability to work in confined spaces and climb stairways.
