About SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS/NETWORK)

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS/NETWORK) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION, CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER. Responsibilities You will serve as the Network Operations Manager, providing planning, installation, and management of all networks and systems. You will analyze requirements and develop, recommend, and deploy network services. You will evaluate new systems engineering technologies and their effect on the operating environment. You will collect and analyze performance data on operational systems, develop trend predictions, and recommend changes to ensure the system performs correctly. You will recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with IT/Security policies. You will supervise System Administrators, Network Engineers, and Desktop Support Technicians. You will assign tasks to subordinates based on priority, difficulty, and requirements of the assignment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing Information Technology (IT) concepts, principles, or methods to analyze requirements for the planning, installation, and management of networks and systems to ensure availability and effective performance. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
