Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up and operating; press, manipulator, hammers, ring rollers and saw, by performing the following duties. This is a first shift position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains time and production records.
Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Adheres to and promotes all company safety rules and requirements and attends required training and/or meetings.
Must have an understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.
Must drive 6S improvement projects as assigned.

Directly supervises employees in the Forge department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
5 years related experience in manufacturing

Computer Literacy

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of E-Time payroll system
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to operate forklift to approved OSHA standards
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
