  Job Overview

  RESPONSIBILITIES

  The Sr. Manager Continuous Improvement / Lean Industrial Design (LID) Manager is responsible for driving implementation of TE Global Auto Lean Industrial Design principles during Program Development, Industrialization and Launch phases, with the goal for each new program to achieve the highest QCDP standards in Series Production.

  Provide training, guidance and individual coaching during Process Development and Launch phases, targeting the largest and most strategic programs for the region. Provide coaching with Plant Launch Team Leaders (PLTL) & ME Program Manufacturing Leader (PML) involvement in Acquisitions & Programs to ensure that Industrial Development work-packages are completed with robust contentParticipate in the definition of production processes and selection of machines and equipment in early phases to ensure standardization and just needed Capex. Be present in the main CERs preparation or reviewsCoordinate and promote active plant participation to ensure that Operations are represented during key lean industrial activities Coach Operations Plant Launch Team Leaders (PLTL) & ME Program Manufacturing Leader (PML) during workshopsPerform LID audit scoring on all new programs to detect, propose and resolve Non OK LID principles prior to Launch phaseDrive MPT (Mass Production Trial) on time (our internal SOP) for new product launches with the plants promoting a pre-MPT convergence plan towards flawless launches and successful SOP. Provide inputs to equipment specifications, participate in run offs as needed. Track OTD (On Time Delivery) for Equipment Design Workshop (EDW)Review and validate assumptions when technical changes occurTrack regularly together with the Launch Managers the early stages of a program and anticipate risks Monitor and Escalate launch issues within appropriate functions and request resources. Represent Operations directly or with PLTL / PML network in acquisition reviews. RFQs, IBP, and Program reviews: risk meetings, Regional PAC meetings Animate the Plant Launch Readiness Reviews (PLRR) in plants. Ensure that Program Launch governance and routines (e.g. Launch Control Room) are in place within the region/plants

  What your background should look like:

  QUALIFICATIONS

  Education level: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related education

  EXPERIENCE

  At least 7 years of experience, including Programs, Manufacturing Engineering, or Production

  SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  Leadership skills Strong Analytical, Problem Solving skills. Decision Making, Networking, Communication, Computer, and Interpersonal Skills Must be able to work effectively at various levels of the organization and with external partners or vendors. Thorough knowledge of engineering techniques associated with project management. Problem solving & Conflict Management skills, Customer focus. Lean Manufacturing : Line concept in One piece flow, Plant lay-out for flow, SMED and batch size optimization, KANBAN Pull System, Production System with fixed batch replenishment, KAIZEN workshop, Standardized Work Practical knowledge of APQP functions, continuous improvement, and analytical and action planning tools Understanding Finance Basics : Costing, Investments, plant P&L Minimum bi-lingual (English required) Results Oriented

  COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $138,800 - 208,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
