  We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with semiconductor experience who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing facilities. This is a hybrid position supporting our Portland, OR office.

  You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.  You’ll also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting, and power plans. 

  You’ll also assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process, interacting directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site. You and your team will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.

  Here’s what you’ll need :

  · Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering

  · Professional Engineer (PE) registration required

  · At least 10 years of engineering design of building electrical systems and power distribution design experience 

  · At least 2 years of electrical design experience in the semiconductor industry required

  · Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards

  · Experience with UPS and EPMS systems

  · Experience with generator sizing and paralleling

  · Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components, such as Switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc.

  · Team leadership and client interaction experience

  · Effective verbal and written communication skills

  · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

  · Ability to work onsite in west Portland, OR required

   

  Ideally, you’ll also have: 

  · Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering

  · Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software

  · Medium Voltage (MV) design experience
