Description:
St. Mary has an opening for a full time transporter in PACU. This is a 40 hours per week position. The transporter is responsible for moving patients to and from clinical units and various diagnostic/treatment areas via a wheelchair, stretcher, or bed which may include patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, and other equipment.
Job Duties
Transports patients in a safe and timely manner as directed by medical professional staff and established policies and procedures.
Assists in retrieving, cleaning and storage of all patient transport equipment.
Completes all training requirements and attends in-service education and scheduled departmental staff meetings for transportation planning and initiatives.
Handles portable oxygen cylinders safely.
Obtains transport equipment for transport.
