  Job Description

  AECOM is seeking to hire a Senior Project Manager, Water/Wastewater for our growing Austin, TX office. The qualified applicant will have experience in water/wastewater engineering design and construction management principles, and will be familiar with the design, construction, and operation of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.

  Job Responsibilities:

  Manages one or more Water/Wastewater treatment plant, pump station and conveyance project(s).

  Works mostly independently but receives basic instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features and possible solutions.

  Manages all aspects of projects from start to close out including development of scope, schedule, budget and proposals, deliverables and quality adherence.

  Direct and manage the implementation of the project including coordination with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors and other external and internal parties to achieve project milestones.

  Mentor junior staff members to support them in their delivery on the project and in their professional development.

  Prepare technical memoranda, planning studies and final design calculations, plans and specifications;

  Manage project deliverable, budgets, schedules. Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance policies and procedures.

  Oversee and manage construction phases of projects to ensure works are completed in accordance with the contract documents, on time and budget;

  Ensure project work is undertaken in accordance with corporate health and safety policies and quality management systems;

  Prepare proposals and qualification documents in the interest of obtaining new assignments.

  Maintain client relationships; assist in identification and pursuit of business development opportunities.

  Qualifications

  Minimum Requirements:

  BA/BS + 6 years of relevant Project Management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  Professional Engineer License in Texas.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  10+ years of experience in design of water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure.

  Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

  Experience with Central Texas-area clients.

  Experience working with clients in both the public and private sectors

  Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

  Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.

  Flexible – can adapt to shifting priorities/work schedules.

  Additional Information

  Offered rate of compensation (Texas locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000.
