Deschutes County Health Services (DCHS) has a primary responsibility to help address the basic health and wellness of Deschutes County residents. The department supports over 400 staff in Behavioral and Public Health programs working to promote and protect the health of the community in a broad variety of community based settings.

ABOUT THE JOB:
This position is part of Administrative Services, which ensures DCHS has the facilities, resources, and support necessary to provide the highest quality of service to clients, customers, and the community through planning, consultation, implementation, analysis, and review. The successful candidate will join a highly effective, motivated and mission driven Business Intelligence Team with significant opportunities to engage with multidisciplinary teams in a variety of challenging and meaningful activities.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing, planning, and tracking tactical and strategic projects, including multiple large scale, enterprise projects through oversight of the development, planning, coordination, communication, and implementation of projects. In particular, this position will develop and lead departmental efforts around strategic planning, performance management system and quality improvement, ensuring projects are aligned with the department’s strategic mission and objectives.
This position is located in Deschutes County and may be eligible for hybrid of in-office/remote work as allowed by policy and approved by the supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Works with executives, directors, managers and staff within, and external to, the Health Services Department to develop and implement strategic planning, performance management, and quality improvement programs, ensuring projects align with the achievement of strategic objectives.
Manages all aspects of assigned projects: lead the planning, prioritization, communication and implementation of projects.
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, and communicating across leadership.
Actively participates with department managers and directors to secure necessary project contributors and resources.

Compensation
$6,839.56 to $9,165.65 per month for a 172.67 hour work month. Excellent County benefit package when eligible. This position is available immediately.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Behavioral Health, Nursing, or a related field;
AND five (5) years of work experience in a public health field or mental health program, including supervisory experience;
OR an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification.
Experience supervising or directing the work of others.
Necessary Special Requirements
