Job Summary:
The Airborne Radar Mechanical Engineering Department is seeking a highly experienced Integrated Product Team Lead (Tier 1 IPTL) for leading a strategic new airborne radar program. This position is an onsite and located in El Segundo, California or Dallas, Texas. The selected candidate will be leading a geographically diverse team across multiple Raytheon sites (CA; TX; MS). This position is primarily an onsite role.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The IPTL will be responsible to provide leadership for the team for all development, transition to production and production tasks to ensure delivery TDP and hardware per program plan.
The IPT structure will be determined by the Lead, who will also manage the suppliers, in both technical and cost/schedule parameters.
The role requires a high level of execution expertise coupled with the ability to lead a high visibility development program.
The additional responsibilities of the ITPL aspect of the role include ensuring all hardware related scope across the program is executed per program plan, with a cohesive technical approach, drawing release plan and compliant to our robust execution practices.
You must have an outstanding ability to provide technical guidance and act as a mentor to his/her staff.
You must be adept at making technical presentations and at establishing customer relationships, and be effective at planning, budgeting, forecasting, negotiating, communication, and organization skills.
Provide leadership and direction to the IPT for development, purchasing material, build and test of an airborne radar systems. This is inclusive of decision-making; problem resolution; people selection and development.
Establish and maintain an integrated master schedule (IMS) for all work.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior airborne radar design experience or Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience collaborating with multi-functional, cross-discipline teams on projects, working groups, and/or inter business units.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with active electronically scanned antenna (AESA) design, test, and integration.
Experience negotiating with internal and/or external suppliers.
Demonstrated ability to drive teams and design of very quick turn prototypes while simultaneously planning for transition to full rate production.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills to communicate program status, issues and resolution plans across all major stakeholders including senior leadership, customers, and major subcontractors.
Experience interfacing with senior leadership to provide strategy, status, and reporting on program efforts.
Experience with business and project management tools and procedures (e.g., IPDS, EVMS, IMS/IMP, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts and EAC)
Earned Value (EVMS) experience, qualification, and certification.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
The ability to travel regularly to meet the needs of the product line.

The salary range for this role is 158,000 USD - 316,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
