We are seeking anexperienced Facility Senior Electrical Engineer for our High PerformanceFacilities (HFP) business unit in our Greenwood Village, CO, SanAntonio, TX, Merritt Island, FL, or Atlanta Area offices.
Candidates that have a desire for personal and professional growth, awell-defined understanding of design and construction document processes,and adaptability for short term and long-term projects in an environment thatrequires a blend of creativity and high technical skills. Successfulcandidates must be self-starting, motivated, innovative, articulate,self-disciplined, and confident in a demanding, exciting and fast-pacedenvironment. This position requires a competent professional engineer whowill be responsible for all phases of engineering production and BIM for avariety of work ranging from programming through construction administration.This includes interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating thedesign and production effort for one or more large or complex projects.Approximate pay for this position is $125,000 to $150,000.
Job DescriptionDesign of electrical systems for facilities for Government, Military,University, and private clients.Provide conceptual / detailed design and analysis for facility powerdistribution (600V), site power distribution (15kV), emergencypower generation, grounding and lightning protection, lighting design,telecommunications (voice/data), fire alarm / mass notification,security, access control, and special systems.Provide supporting documentation such as calculations, reports, andspecifications.This individual is expected to possess extensive knowledge on electricalregulatory codes.Meet with clients to prepare and/or validate proposed scope of work.Prepare fee proposals for engineering design work.Work with other disciplines to ensure accuracy of the package, meetschedule, and budget commitments and meet expectations for attendance andpunctuality.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writingAbility to work effectively within a collaborative team environmentAbility to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detailAbility to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously definedAbility to travel as needed.Ability to write and edit specificationsWork in a design team environment, including directing and mentoring thework of junior engineers and designers, and delegating work as required aswell as provide management of the local team.Manage direct reports of local and remote engineering staff and providingleadership.Providing annual performance reviews and merit increase for staff.Capable of performing all the above with minimal directionAn agreed upon hybrid schedule, working from both home and office, isavailable to employees in good standing.Required ExperienceTwelve (12) years of experience in facility Electrical Engineering design.Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.Minimum twelve (12) years of experience using REVIT/AutoCAD or otherdesign software-based drawing generation.Experience using electrical calculation tools is required, includinglighting and power software such as AGi32, Elum Tools, SKM Power Tools,ETAP, and EasyPower.Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel & Word.Experience with technical codes such as NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE is required.Experience with Department of Defense and government clients is highlydesired.Client projects for this position requi e U.S. Citizenship.Physical RequirementsThe job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computerworkstation.Be able to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors withoutgetting distracted.May be required to lift up to 20 lbs.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilitiesto perform the essential functions.Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must bemet by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of thisposition.Additional InformationApply online only.
