  The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year.

  What you’ll do:

  Primary Function:

  This role will make sure the supply of components for the PCD products in the new plant in El Paso, TX, meets the timing, capacity, and quality requirements to achieve a flawless launch. After completing the project, this role will be part of the operations of the plant. The Senior Buyer will plan and provide, at minimum costs, the necessary materials to manufacture saleable products. They will negotiate for and procure a variety of assigned commodities including those which are non-standard or of a technical nature.

  Essential Functions:

  Monitor and control inventory levels of materials, using the available reports and applications in the ERP System for site.

  Timely and properly execute the MRP exception messages (cancel, defer, place new orders, etc ...) to ensure availability of inventory of material requirements and compliance with the inventory reduction plans.

  Initiate negotiation thru price increases and follow Eaton SPIR process.

  Request and analyze bids and approve suppliers based upon such factors as facilities, financial status, manpower, reliability and price.

  Prepare Purchasing Department reports and reviews to include cost reviews, price predictions, effects of material costs on products, supplier capacity, etc.

  Visit suppliers’ facilities as necessary to determine qualification, capability, and to solve problems.

  Review and update Change Document control requests for material usage, lead times, product yields, and operation routings. Control the implementation of new product CDC’s with respect to purchased parts in the Bill of Materials.

  Monitor and track performance to metrics of Key Business Indicator within the SRM and Plant Purchasing Scorecard, such as: Suppliers on time delivery (OTD), Quality (PPMs/DMRs), price stability, flexibility and service.

  Support to Quality function on open Defective Materials Reports (DMRs) to suppliers ensuring resolution by determined due date.

  Perform all duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager

  Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar careers.

  Three (3) years of experience in procurement in a manufacturing environment.

  Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

  No relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX or Beaver, PA or Moon Township, PA. Active-Duty Military Service Member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Proficient with Microsoft Office software package.

  Ability to work under pressure and prioritize.

  Competences: Demonstrate a collaborative style, drives for results, makes decisions / solves problems, promotes & champion change and pursues personal development.

  Proficient with use of Oracle or SAP

  English\Spanish with good oral and written communication skills.
