Global Transaction Advisory Group (TAG)
TAG is a subsidiary of AandM, an established leader in providing global leadership and advisory services to a variety of diverse industries. TAG professionals specialize largely in providing financial and accounting buy-side and sell-side due diligence, capital markets and accounting advisory, global transaction analytics, ESG advisory and other related MandA services for private equity, hedge funds, sovereign wealth, family office and corporate clients around the world.
Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory (CMAA)
Our Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory practice, within our Transaction Advisory Group, has an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team. Our CMAA practice partners with management and the company's finance organization to address challenges they face in today's evolving accounting and reporting environment. Our team has the knowledge and experience to address complex accounting and financial reporting issues that arise throughout the investment lifecycle -from due diligence through exit - and in connection with capital markets transactions.
Responsibilities:Advise clients on a wide range of complex technical accounting and financial reporting matters, including the implementation of accounting standards, development of accounting position papers and assistance in IPOs and other capital markets transactionsEffectively research accounting and reporting guidance and apply professional judgement to meet engagement expectations, including identification and application of relevant U.S. GAAP and related interpretive guidance, IFRS and SEC rules and regulationsExperience with revenue recognition, purchase accounting and lease accounting a plus.Participate in meetings and conference calls with other AandM teams, client personnel, serving as a point of contact for client personnel for day-to-day execution of advisory servicesAssist in the development and delivery of training programs for live sessions and webcasts to be provided to AandM personnel and clients
Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in AccountingActive CPA licenseThe ideal candidate for the Senior Associate position will have at least 3 years of business experience at a Big Four accounting firm with mid-market audit experience across a broad range of industries, preferably with a mix of public and private company clientsStrong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations required, with SEC reporting and capital markets transaction experience a plusKnowledge of IFRS - a plusTop performer in his or her peer groupMotivated, effective in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal and verbal communication skillsExcellent written communication skillsMust work well on teams and continually work to develop the knowledge a d maturity to work with our clients independentlyMust have strong accounting and project management skillsHighly analytical mind-setProficient in MS Excel, Word and Power PointFlexibility to travel as needed for certain projects and training sessions
The base salary is $130,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, AandM offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez and Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, ADandD, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
