About RN I/ II/ III/ IV - ASC PACU

  Responsibilities

  Provides nursing care to patients in an assigned unit. Possesses knowledge and skill necessary to meet nursing standards for professional practice specified in Texas Nurse Practice Act with supervision. Recognizes when assistance is needed and seeks appropriate resources. Practice is characterized by a balance of dependent and interdependent decision making. Focus is on expanding knowledge and skills for specialty area. Provides patient care through nursing-based practices upon the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice and Professional Performance. Values specialty unit, nursing, and institutional strategic initiatives and health system goals.

  Job Title: RN I/ II/ III/ IV - ASC PACU

  Clinic Location: Memorial Villages

  Shift: The position rotates from Pre-op/Endo/PACU/shift times will vary between 0530-1400 (earliest shift) to 0730-1600 (latest shift).

  Department: ASC PACU

  Job Type: Full Time

  Salary Range: $73,450 – $117,494 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

  Qualifications

  Education

  Required:

  RN I/ II/ III

  Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)

  RN IV

  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  Preferred:

  RN I/ II/ III

  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  Experience

  Required:

  RN I

  None

  RN II

  2 Years RN in PACU, Pre-OP or Endoscopy

  RN III

  5 years RN in PACU, Pre-OP, or Endoscopy

  RN IV

  7 years RN in Pre-Op, PACU, or Endoscopy

  Preferred:

  RN I/ II/ III/ IV

  RN experience in Pre-Op, Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Emergency Room (ER), Infusion Therapy, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or hospital setting

  Work Units

  Required:

  RN I

  Single Unit

  RN II

  Single Unit

  RN III

  2 or more units

  RN IV

  3 or more units

  Preferred: N/A

  License(s)

  Required:

  RN I/ II

  Texas RN license

  American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required for Endoscopy and PACU.

  Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

  Must have one of the following certifications:

  Certified Ambulatory Peri Anesthesia Nurse (CAPA)

  Tele-ICU Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN-E)

  Acute/Critical Care Knowledge Professional (CCRN-k)

  Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (CGRN)

  Certified Ambulatory Surgery Nurse (CNAMB)

  Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN)

  Ambulatory Care Nursing or Pain Management (RN-BC)

  RN IV

  Texas RN license

  American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
