JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Job Purpose: Design, Develop, Validate andImplement new models, features, and technologies for the Grain andReefer Trailer Markets. Responsibilities Lead and project manageresearch and development projects from concept through production fordry vans, reefer trailers, container chassis, grain hoppers, and otherplatforms. Identify projects and opportunities that contribute torevenue increase, trailer cost reduction, warranty improvement, safetyimprovement, or other benefit. Establish and maintain project benefitand business case for project opportunities. Establish and documenttechnical requirements for projects. Develop design proposals, leadprime path selection of proposed solutions, and implementation ofselected design proposals. Identify validation plan, support testdevelopment, and ensure completion of required tasks. Complete analysisincluding hand calculations and FEA required to validate the designproposals. Complete risk assessments or FMEA\'s to ensure changes arefully validated. Lead cross functional design reviews. Establish andmanage timelines for multiple projects that are occurring concurrently.Develop and update engineering standard work processes to aid in futurevalidation and design of critical systems and subsystems.Skills/Abilities Demonstrated ability to manage and implement complexcross functional projects from concept to implementation. Demonstratedability to identify and implement innovative solutions to both simpleand complex problems. Intermediate skills in design and developmentprocesses, methods, and tools.
