About the role : As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing sales operations across the entire South region of India. Your primary objective is to drive revenue growth, build strong customer relationships, and ensure the successful execution of sales strategies within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration.
Provide leadership to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Market Expansion:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the South region.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess market trends and implement effective sales initiatives.
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and mentor an impactful sales team.
Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback to drive individual and team success.
Sales Performance:
Drive the team to achieve and exceed sales targets for the South region.
Implement effective sales processes and ensure the team's adherence to them.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
Address customer concerns promptly and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Forecasting and Reporting:
Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular performance reports to the executive team.
Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to achieve overall business objectives.
Liaise with other regional managers to share best practices and ensure consistency in approach.
Budget Management:
Manage the regional sales budget effectively, optimizing resources for maximum impact.
Ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in sales management, preferably in a regional capacity.
Strong understanding of the South Indian market and customer dynamics.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
Results-oriented with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field (MBA is a plus)
