What You'll Be Doing

Travel will be required to the site 3 days a week.
This position is located in Fontana, CA. Minimum 5 years experience in a Process Engineering role. Minimum 2 years R&D experience.
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Promoting the culture of working safely and applying safety related concepts into process design.
Work closely with Product Development teams to identify and develop the new processes and technologies neededing to bring new products to market.
Research theories, principles and models to perform a variety of experiments and activities.
Conduct market research and evaluating similar products and their functions
Collaborate with engineering on product feasibility
Below is the range that we in good faith believe is the potential compensation for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Hargrove’s total compensation package for Teammates. Actual compensation will be based on education, experience, skill set and location.
Minimum Salary: $114,400 annually
Maximum Salary: $135,200 annually
This is an onsite position with our client in Fontana, CA. Local candidates preferred. We are unable to offer relocation assistance. This position does not qualify for sponsorship.

Ideal Background
Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.
Certifications: Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.
Experience: This position requires 6 or more years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Experience in engineering software, ETABS, RAPT, Microstran and FEA systems, Autocad etc.
High level of communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail and high regard for quality, delivery and cost management.
Strong relationship management
Ability to think strategically with an inquisitive and creative mindset.
Ability to influence and inspire cross-functional and senior leadership teams.
Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and code approval processes is a plus
Virtual team skills and cross divisional relationships are developed, and able to provide interoffice execution leadership and support.
Basic knowledge of chemical/biochemical process engineering and chemical/biochemical process computer programs.
Familiarity with specifications and installation details of equipment, instrumentation, and piping.
Ability to create accurate process engineering documents from the information provided in vendor equipment data and drawings.
Complete understanding of the skills and experience required to perform process engineering and design functions.
Working knowledge of CAD software preferred, either AutoCAD or Microstation (or both).
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Working knowledge in the use of hydraulic simulation software such as AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow, PIPEPHASE, PIPE-FLO, and/or SiNet.
Working knowledge in the use of process simulation software such as Aspen Plus, Aspen Plus Dynamics, PRO/II, DYNSIM, HYSYS, CHEMCAD, WinGEMS, ProMax, etc.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Virtual team skills and cross divisional relationships are developed and able to provide interoffice execution support with general supervision.
