Overview
World Travel Holdings is seeking a remote QA Automation Engineer. This role will support our internal enterprise application team that is responsible for design and development of our agent and support application. The ideal candidate for this position will have expert level technical skills in creating and maintaining cohesive automation scripts with strong experience in Java, REST API testing, and Selenium.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with your scrum team to understand all requirements to ensure sufficient test coverage for each user story
Create, manage, and execute automation tasks within stories Provide coding support in the existing automation test suites to ensure scripts are functioning as designed
Use GIT to version and manage code
Script SQL database queries to validate data & troubleshoot defects
Review and analyze user stories in SCRUM ceremonies to provide accurate work estimates
Resolve script failures during development and execution
Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms throughout the software development lifecycle making sure to advise the SCRUM teams of potential risk areas as early as possible
Identify and log defects in a timely manner, work with developers to resolve, and verify fixes when implemented, work with SCRUM team to coordinate test effort on each story
Work with automation engineers from other scrum teams to understand how changes in your team’s code changes may affect maintenance of existing test scripts in other testing environments
Troubleshoot defects found and enter bugs when needed
Qualifications
BS/BA in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years in Automation testing
Proven experience creating UI automation test scripts; using Java and Selenium is preferred
Experience working with automation frameworks like Maven and TestNG
Experience working with version control (GIT or similar)
Experience creating SQL queries to support automation scripts; experience with Oracle Database is preferred
Understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment and experience with Jenkins (or similar product)
Efficiency in Scrum, and knowledge of how automation is performed within a scrum team
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to shift priorities and multi-task based on business needs
Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills

Experience with Jenkins administration and Pipelines scripts
Experience with Docker containers and their usage in parallelization with Selenium Grid
Proven experience creating automation test scripts for RESTful APIs; using Unirest is preferred
Experience working with Xpath, XML schema validation, and JSON schema validation
Travel Experience a plus
