Job Title: Process Control Engineer

Location: Sanford, NC
Daily Schedule: 8am – 4:30pm; some flexibility
Job Description:
We are searching for a skilled Process Control Engineer 2
to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting
engineering drawings, schematic diagrams or formulas, preparing charts and
diagrams, and verifying that records adhere to quality assurance
specifications. You must be detail-oriented and possess excellent analytical
and problem-solving abilities. You should also be a team player with the
ability to communicate well with all levels in the organization, both verbally
and in writing.
Responsibilities:
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams or
formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality
standards.
• Read worker logs, product processing sheets and
specification sheets to verify that records adhere to quality assurance
specifications.
• Prepare charts, graphs and diagrams to illustrate
workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling and machine utilization.
Skills:
• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills,
analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be a team player and detail-oriented.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical
drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
• Previous experience with computer applications and
software related to the engineering field.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 2-4 years of experience in a related field required.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
Will protect assembly line from supplier caused qualityissues and to prevent reoccurrence.
Typical Day in the Role:
• Attend daily production and material review board
meetings.
• Issue CARs to suppliers for corrective/preventative
actions for defective material via ETQ system.
• React swiftly to supplier quality issues impacting the
line to minimize impact.
• Participate in supplier performance reviews.
• Assist reactive supplier quality team in determining if
material is nonconforming.
Interaction with Team:
Interacts with suppliers, design engineers, buyers,material planners, internal reactive supplier quality team.
Work Environment:
Office 80%, Shop 20%.Candidate Requirements:
• 2-4 years of experience in a related field required.
Technical Skills:
(Required)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technicaldrawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
Previous experience with computer applications andsoftware.
(Desired)
Previous supplier quality experience.Soft Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate well with all levels in the
organization.
