About the Role:
This is a per diem position. This position is responsible for providingmental health crisis assessment, intervention and brief treatmentservices to a diverse population of clients in crisis. In addition, theEmergency Services Clinician will provide appropriate recommendationsfor care and linkage services for clients requiring on-going treatment.The Emergency Services Clinician functions as part of amultidisciplinary team at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct program specific screening and evaluation and formulatediagnosis in accordance with the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM).
- Triage clinical emergencies and implement program specific safety andconsultation protocols.
- Develop and document, clear clinical formulations, crisis andtreatment plans that are individualized and measurable, developed incollaboration with the client/family and others as relevant.
- Provide brief case management, service coordination and communityliaison services to assure that clients are dispositioned to appropriatelevels of care and according to clinical practice standards.
Qualifications:
- Master\'s Degree in clinical psychology, social work or related fieldis preferred.
- Experience working in crisis, emergency room, or community-basedservices preferred.
- QMHP designation preferred. It is required that once hired theclinician work toward obtaining a QMHP designation.
- Experience in crisis intervention services, risk management,assessment of suicide potential and integrated treatment forco-occurring disorders preferred.
- Ability to function autonomously in stressful situations and makeappropriate assessments in coordination with on-call physician.
- Must be available to work shifts as assigned including overnights andweekends.
- Must have a valid driver\'s license, reliable transportation withpersonal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levelsmandated by the State of Vermont.
