This role in summaryThe ideal candidate is someone with a Controls Systems or Automation engineering background that has developed a deep knowledge of OT cybersecurity including: NIST 800-82R3T, ISA 62443, network security design / protocols and defense in depth best practices.
They will have the ability to navigate large corporate Operational Technology networks with segregated IT/OT functions that have connected machines for Manufacturing Execution System and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. They will have experience leading a team and deploying cybersecurity solutions in an OT environment.
Candidates must reside within a maximum of 2 - 4 hours driving distance from the majority of North America Region Manufacturing Sites (Amana, Iowa; Clyde, Ohio; Marion, Ohio; Greenville, Ohio; Findlay, Ohio; Ottawa, Ohio; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Fall River, Massachusetts; Cleveland, Tennessee; Racine, Wisconsin) and Mexico (Celeya; Ramos; Monterrey-3 plants)
Your responsibilities will includeIn this position, you will have multiple responsibilities, including: OT cybersecurity architect, OT cyber operations leader and solution deployment leader. You will:
Directly manage an organization in North America with one network engineer and eight contract plant security leads co-located at one of the 15 manufacturing sites in the United States (Amana, Iowa; Clyde, Ohio; Marion, Ohio; Greenville, Ohio; Findlay, Ohio; Ottawa, Ohio; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Fall River, Massachusetts; Cleveland, Tennessee; Racine, Wisconsin) and Mexico (Celeya; Ramos; Monterrey-3 plants)
Provide consulting and leadership to 7 additional sites in India (Faridabad, Puducherry, Pune) Brazil (Joinville, Manaus, Rio Claro) and Argentina (Fátima).
Work remotely from a location in the Midwest United States (preferably Ohio) and travel as needed to manufacturing plants to support your team and onsite project activities (approximately 25 to 50% travel).
Identify and propose scalable cybersecurity solutions that support the Whirlpool Manufacturing Cybersecurity policy and NIST 800-82R3.
Provide guidance and thought leadership to the OT Manufacturing Cybersecurity Program Lead and CISO on the OT cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, technical architecture, policy and controls.
Lead cross-functional teams including external vendors and manufacturing teams to conduct cybersecurity tool proof of concepts and / or pilots.
Create deployment strategies (including configuration of security tools) for solutions that will secure the current and future manufacturing operating environment.
Develop internal talent by coaching both your direct reports and an extended team of stakeholders on OT cybersecurity best practices.
Respond to cybersecurity critical vulnerabilities, threats and remediation activities in the manufacturing sites by working with the GSOC (Global Security Operations Center) and providing direction and leadership to your team.
