  BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

  The Federal Gov’t Team Manager’s responsibility is to develop, manage and direct a salesforce of site-specific associates to achieve sales goals for 4PL locations. The role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that ensures ongoing profitable growth with the 4PL business.

  DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Federal Govt Team Manager manages and directs a sales force of site-specific associates to achieve sales goals for 4PL locations.

  Manages a successful team execution of the 4PL sales program with the assistance of all available resources.

  Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies.

  Manages the development of solutions and insights to address all customer needs. Looks towards the future to anticipate potential problems with the 4PL business.

  Acts as advisor to sales team regarding projects and work closely with internal teams to ensure efficiency within the program.

  Interprets sales goals and initiatives so that priorities can be balanced, and timelines established in a cost-effective manner.

  Key point of contact for the 4PL sales team internally related to sales opportunities and staffing.

  Leads management and customer meetings and provides input for all 4PL projects under discussion.

  Submits to management all required sales and expense reports in a timely manner.

  Performs all duties inherent in the role of an MSC Manager as defined by the MSC Code of Conduct including hiring, termination, review and development of associates.

  Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of vision and fulfillment of MSC's mission.

  Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

  EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  A Bachelor's degree in business or the equivalent is required.

  A minimum of 5+ years industrial/manufacturing/distributing sales experience with direct account responsibility is required.

  A minimum of two years field sales management experience is required.

  Direct strategic selling and contract negotiation experience in the 4PL environment.

  Demonstrable familiarity with the 4PL structure, including contract requirements and processes.

  Familiarity with the procurement process within the Federal Government, specifically the Federal Supply Schedules.

  SKILLS:

  Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database software is required.

  Excellent organizational and planning skills are required.

  Knowledge of project management techniques and processes are required.

  Business analysis experience and the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities are required. 1:1

  Excellent oral and written communication skil1s are required.

  Excellent sales, negotiation, and team building skills and techniques are required.

  Understanding of financial performance/profitability is required.

  Analytical/Strategic thinking required.

  OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 60% of the time is required.

  This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).

  Compensation starting at $107870 - $154100 depending on experience.
