Manage the Wireless strategy for Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) wireless/mobile phone service, and incubate new technology efforts in the wireless domain for the Strategic Development, Wireless team; design, document, and implement unique test beds, automation frameworks, and tools to support 5G, CBRS, Dual SIM, eSIM, MP-TCP, DSDS and Wi-Fi testing; test wireless devices and applications in the research and development phase; work with wireless technologies, including CDMA, GSM, LTE, 5G, and WiFi; use packet data networks and the following networking protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, RTSP, RTCP, and IMS; oversee device testing using wireless test systems, including network emulators and channel emulators; oversee the development of wireless protocol test cases; develop test scripts; develop software and mobile device architecture; drive the device technology roadmap per Comcast wireless network roadmap and business requirements by working with OS and OEM (original equipment manufacturer), and internal Comcast technology teams; triage, debug, document and track issues discovered during testing; produce and provide summarized test results and reports; provide recommendations to fix and enhance device wireless performance, and guide OEMs, Chipset vendors, OS providers, and wireless test equipment manufacturers; manage the OEM specifications, documenting all the requirements from external and internal sources; manage compliance to the requirements at each new product and MR launches; coordinate with internal and OEM teams to develop solutions for problems and challenges pertaining to DSDS and other wireless functionalities; develop certification plans and processes to certify handsets for Comcast wireless network; and lead a team of Wireless test engineers by planning and assigning test activities relevant to the project.
*REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; and seven (7) years of experience working with wireless technologies, including CDMA, GSM, and LTE; using packet data networks and the following networking protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, RTCP, and IMS; performing device testing using wireless test systems, including network emulators and channel emulators; and developing wireless protocol test cases; of which five (5) years include working with 5G and WiFi wireless technologies; developing test scripts; of which three (3) years include developing software and mobile technology architecture.
