Job Description:-Conduct pre and /or post operation and safety checks of the equipment-Sets and operates CNC machine to perform drilling, tapping, boring, milling, and turning- Presets tools using a tool setter-Secures parts on fixtures - Determines tool compensation values as a result of tool ware.-Occasional use of precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges.-Occasional use of air tools-Ability to clean up work area, including raking / shoveling chips-Identifies, troubleshoots and corrects machine problemsJob Requirements:-Must be a US Person-Must be able to successfully complete the pre-employment process including drug screen, medical and background check-Must obtain/maintain Department of Army Police unescorted access-Must have High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)-3-5 years documented / relevant experience-Must be able to read blueprints-Must be able to work in a team-based environment-Must be able to communicate (both verbally and in writing) with employees at various levels of the organization-Must be able to work with computers to input data, etc.-Must be able to perform basic shop mathAbility to work in a production environment, including:-Lifting and handling (pushing / pulling) various parts - potentially lifting up to 50 lbs.-Must be able and willing to wear all required personal protective equipment and / or clothing-Climbing ladders and stairs-Walking, bending, kneeling, standing and stooping-Working in and around dust and fumes, moving equipment and hot / cold environments-Working in areas with a high noise volumeGeneral Dynamics Land Systems is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
