Robert Half Legal is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant in a small Boston firm to join their team. The individual will provide vital administrative support to our legal team and ensure efficient office operations. Great pay and possible hybrid schedule for the right candidate. Must be willing to wear many hats!
Responsibilities:
Answering incoming calls, providing detailed messages to attorneys and staff.
Setting up the conference room for meetings.
Offering a warm greeting to guests and providing them with necessary assistance.
Processing and distributing mail and handling deliveries.
Updating docket calendar with hearings, meetings, and deadline dates.
E-filing documents in Massachusetts and Federal Courts.
Managing discovery, setting up templates, and preparing case documents.
Editing briefs, letters, and other legal pleadings.
Drafting dynamic and professional cover letters.
Proofreading legal documents with a keen eye for detail.
Preparing exhibits and digitizing documents through scanning and copying.
Conducting WESTLAW and broad Internet research.
Providing weekly updates on pleadings and documents to ensure staff are well-informed.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. They should be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
Requirements
Requirements:
5 plus years litigation experience both in defense and plaintiff work; no personal injury law experience needed.
Experience in financial fraud recovery.
Must have an engaging personality and proven ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
Must have extensive litigation experience, preferably in a national firm operating in multiple jurisdictions.
Proficiency in utilizing PACER and EFILE for filings with Federal Courts.
Proven 9A experience in Massachusetts is a must.
Profound understanding of complex plaintiff and defendants' issues.
