Lead Teller
Job Description
Summary:
Assists the Assistant Branch Manager and/or Branch Manager with managing the daily workflow of the teller area. Balances the vault daily and maintains cash limits. Performs branch audits including researching teller differences. Is the expert in the technology, policies, and procedures used by the teller staff. Leads teller area to make sure daily items are completed and are accurate.
Scheduled Shift:
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:15pm
Rotating Saturdays 8:45am - 12:15pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists branch management with overall daily workflow of tellers including working a teller drawer
Act as the teller first contact and can answer general questions about technology, policies, and procedures
Leads teller area to make sure daily items are completed and accurate
Manages cash vault and cash limits
Orders or ships cash as needed
Audits teller drawers, cashier’s checks & Money Orders
Audits teller due to differences, responsible to try to locate difference, as needed
Balances ATM
Performs essential duties and responsibilities of a teller
Assists branch manager in quarterly unit assessment
Participates in opening and closing the branch, following procedures set by corporate security
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, customer service and strong organizations skills with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to cross-sell and refer additional bank products/services
Thorough knowledge of bank operations, policies, procedures, compliance, and banking regulations
Team oriented, possesses a positive attitude and works well with others
