Treatment Specialist assist in the development &implementation of client treatment plans & helps assess client progresstoward meeting treatment goals. Treatment Specialists establish &maintain therapeutic relationships with clients which facilitatedevelopment, academic & personal growth. Treatment Specialists alsocarry out agency policies & procedures consistent with federal, state, &local regulations & accreditation standards. Duties Include: * Plans &supervises treatment related activities * Maintain behavioral controlof the group * Responsible for the safety & physical well-being ofclients, including hygiene, during the treatment day * Responsible forworking with clients who struggle with emotional regulation that cancause hazardous working conditions due to the significant behaviors *Responds to client crisis to maintain a safe environment * Plans &implements recreational/therapeutic outings & field trips * Assists theEducational Specialists in maintaining structure * Attends & activelyparticipates in staff meetings, quarterly review meetings, stafftraining, & other meetings * Meets with each assigned student on aweekly basis for counseling in therapist-approved subject areas *Consistently uses therapeutic, non-punitive forms of discipline *Therapists & Program manager as resources & consistently communicates toclinicians concerns regarding clients * Establishes & maintainsprofessional & cooperative relationships * Consistently demonstratesprofessional work habits * All paperwork completed in a timely manner* Consistently attempts to enhance level of job knowledge * Upholdsall ethical policies * Complete & implement Behavior Support Plan withtherapist of record * Will be certified the first 30 days of CPItraining
