(Westbury, NY); F/T: Read existing drawings of building complexes & 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) to field-verify existing conditions in buildings, measure existing architecture, pipes, & conduits, & impl new or supplemental design into existing conditions by creating detailed drawings for fabrication & install; coord, read & design drawings w/ different utilities using AutoCAD, Revit, Navis, Recap & laser-scanning hard/software; research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mech products, equipt, systems or processes to meet reqs; Investigate equipt failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation & recommend remedial actions; direct the install, operation, maintenance, or repair of heating, ventilating, & air conditioning (HVAC) systems; study industrial processes to maximize the efficiency of equipt applications, incl equipt placement; establish or coord the maintenance or safety procedures, service schedule, or supply of materials req'd to maintain machines or equipt in the prescribed condition. Some travel, w/in a 25-mile radius, 1-2 x/wk week may be req'd. Reqs Bachelor’s deg in HVAC Engineering, 2 yrs exp. as HVAC engineer, & undergo 6 months employer-provided training in BIM Engineering, + 2 yrs exp. using AutoCAD, Revit, Navis, Recap, 3D laser-scanning hard/software & BIM collaboration.
