Horticulturist

　　       Variable Position  - Schedule will vary (Sunday-Saturday 9am-7pm)

　　JOB DUTIES:

　　Answer customer’s questions regarding care of a wide variety of plants in our garden center and able to look up other plants as needed.

　　Maintain knowledge of trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals

　　Work directly on sales floor, and registers, throughout the store, assisting customers- occasionally working in outside environments 

　　Process all store transactions according to established procedures including In-store pickup, Curbside pickup and Delivery orders, returns for customers and transfers to other stores.. 

　　Maintain store appearance with general cleaning, caring for plants, dusting, stocking and displaying merchandise.

　　Answer telephone calls regarding all perishable horticulture questions.

　　Perform other duties as assigned.

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　A two-year Horticulture degree or MNLA Certification is preferred.

　　Demonstrates a wide range of product knowledge with all Garden Center products.

　　This position also requires excellent customer relations and communication skills and 3+ years’ product knowledge and gardening knowledge. 

　　Past cashier experience is preferred.
