  About the Position:

  The responsibility of the Homefinding Coordinator is to oversee the administrative operations of the Homefinding department and to assure the tracking and submissions of time sensitive documentation to agency staff, ACS and OCFS.

  Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  · Home Finding Coordinator will be responsible for providing support- oversights to support staff: Administrative assistant, Case Aide, and birth parent advocate/Housing specialist, in addition to his/her primary responsibilities. Supervisory responsibilities will continue to remain with director.

  · Coordinate all support staff and ensure monthly reports are submitted to director timely.

  · Work across sites as needed.

  · Track fingerprint packages and responses on tracking spreadsheet Input date sent and received into Connections Copy, file and provide responses to Homefinder/Recruiter. Send dispositions to OCFS to remove closed arrests from responses. Send Closure Form to OCFS to Close Out fingerprints once home is closed or household member no longer resides in the home

  · OSI - Notify Case Planner, Supervisor, Director and RDS Unit of all Investigations. Track OSI notification and determinations information on tracking spreadsheets. Track Corrective Actions and submit to ACS. Send Case Planner, Supervisor and Director emails regarding documentation that needs to be submitted for investigation. Submit Corrective Action Plans to ACS

  · Training - Schedule Yearly Recertification training, MAPP/Mini MAPP, RDS Unit Meetings, Foster Parent Network Meetings, Orientations and Special Needs trainings. Create Quarterly calendars for recertification trainings and Special Needs trainings. Create Yearly calendars for MAPP/Mini MAPP, RDS Unit Meetings, Foster Parent Network Meetings, Orientations. Reserve conference rooms for trainings and meetings. Send email reminders to foster parents. Send sign in sheets with registered parents to facilitator

  · Petty Cash Management - Responsible for the distribution of petty cash to facilitators for trainings/meeting Copy and Submit receipt

  · Other duties as assigned

  Qualifications

  Minimum Requirements:

  Requires BSW or BA degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services or related field.

  Experience with working in child welfare, Human Services a plus

  Knowledge of MAPP and Mini-MAPP, knowledge of internal and external regulations and polices applicable to foster care and adoption.

  Computer literate and familiar with NYS CONNECTIONS and EVOLV.

  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  Preferred proficiency in a second language

  Possession of a valid NYS driver’s license a plus;

  Must be able to climb stairs and lift boxes not to exceed forty pounds.

  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills

  Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends.

  Ability to work with diverse populations
