The Portfolio Management Group (PMG) is responsible for the day-to-day management of Citizens Private Bank and Institutional client portfolios. A Centralized Portfolio Manager provides portfolio management services for high net worth and institutional client accounts within the Private Bank. This is a middle office position, responsible for assisting a team of portfolio managers in the management of the day/day strategies, objectives, risk/return and liquidity needs for clients under management. The role will include interfacing with internal and external customers and groups to help facilitate the management, support and expansion of the fixed income product lineup.
Additionally, the role will consist of in-depth credit analysis work. This job component will involve conducting detailed research and analysis of market data, trends and other factors related to the financing and overall fiscal health of state and local governments and corporate issuers. Preparation of credit reports and recommendations will be fundamental in the decision-making process during the portfolio construction and ongoing maintenance of client portfolios. The corresponding research will be disseminated and used by Portfolio and Relationship Managers as support for fielding questions regarding market exposures within a broader investment context.
Assist with the oversight and management of wealth, trust and institutional accounts
Responsible for interfacing with Advisors, Investment Managers and Private Client Associates to ensure seamless client onboarding and ongoing support of client inquiries
Monitor accounts according to the client’s investment policy statement, ensuring compliance with client’s stated mandate
Work directly with the Fixed Income Portfolio Management team to invest client portfolios according to the Investment Policy Statement, and to meet client risk/return objective
Review and resolve exception reporting related to asset allocation, non-approved assets, and performance exceptions
Collaborating with advisors and specialized team members to resolve daily client needs
Assist in the creation and updating of resources to advisors for the sales process, development of pitch books, performance books, and other client and prospect needs
Conduct written summaries of market environments, trends, operating history and repayment capacity for long positions or potential buy candidates
Make recommendations that will help mitigate credit risks or identify undervalued market segments
Interact directly with Portfolio and Relationship Managers and to answer questions related to financial reporting requirements, interpreting financial statements and maintaining credit files
Qualifications
Experience working with high-net worth individuals a plus
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent client service and communication
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
3-5 years minimum experience in Banking and/or Investments, with preferred work experience in credit/financial analysis
Position requires basic internet search skills, developed knowledge of financial statement analysis, effective verbal and written communications skills, ability to manage multiple priorities at once
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $88,275.00 - $147,125.00, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
