Hitachi Energy has an exciting role for a Service Technician joining our Grid Integration team focusing on HV Power Quality equipment we have multiple opportunities covering both the Midlands and Scotland regions and being home based roles.
The primary role is to perform a variety of service tasks where needed in the United Kingdom, identify technical problems and make analysis through remote or on-site activity in any Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end of life services, replacements, etc.) for a variety of clients from the industrial and commercial sectors many of which are blue chip.
Focus will be on taking responsibility for the successful and safe execution of inspection and maintenance services, on time, to budget and the clients satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Installation, Inspection & maintenance of switchgear, transformers, STATCOMS, SVC's Capacitor and filter banks up to 400kV.Installation and Maintenance of protection relays & control systems.24/7 On-Call Support standby Rota where necessary.Manage inspection & maintenance reports using databases.Provide Technical support to the team and customers, liaising with internal and external suppliers, interfacing with Sales, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Planning, Engineering and Commercial functions.
Your background:
Qualified Engineer/Technician (essential).Knowledge of Hitachi Energy and third Party MV Products (desirable).Background in the power sector service & maintenance (essential).Customer focused (essential).Completed basic electrical switchgear & transformer maintenance course. City & Guilds 236 or 232 certificate or equivalent NVQ (essential).Full driving license (essential).
