Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Facilities Technician to join our growing Space & Engineering Solutions team!
In this role you will get to perform a variety of routine facilities maintenance assignments within a building complex. Maintains service or repairs in two or more skill areas, including plumbing, painting and plastering, electrical repairs, carpentry, or equipment installations. Duties and tasks are standardized. Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels. Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. Must be able to work on weekends, holidays, and after hours occasionally.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Set up offices/cubicles with office furniture
Build and dismantle cubicle partitions
Maintain and/or repair furniture, partitions, electrical/plumbing equipment.
Basic trash removal of shipping boxes and packing material.
Repair drywall, install and repair wallcovers, paint, hang doors, and/or make ceiling repairs.
Mount pictures, boards, TVs, etc. on a variety of surfaces, as needed.
Assist senior technician with repair of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical needs
Packing and moving of equipment and furniture
Perform general maintenance tasks of all facilities including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials in various forms of maintenance activities
Repair holes in drywall, basic carpentry, plumbing
Change lightbulbs, outlets, and light switches
Any other general building maintenance tasks
Higher level electrical and HVAC repairs will be worked by other team members
Participates as a member of the emergency response team for tornado and fire drills.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Enforces Building rules and safety policies with all building occupants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
What Required Skills You’ll Bring :
High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2+ years of related experience in building maintenance
US Citizenship with the willingness and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI
Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly outside and exposed to various weather conditions including hot/cold temperatures and rain/snow conditions.
Employee constantly uses fine motor skills, gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, coordination, near/far vision and requires active hearing/listening.
Employee frequently stands, walks, sits, kneels, bends, lifts up to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs, pushes, pulls, and utilizes manual dexterity.
Employee occasionally climbs and crawls.
Employee is exposed to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, fumes and aggregate materials.
Required PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hats. Additional PPE required if performing special jobs.

Salary Range:
$17.74 - $31.06
