　　Elevator Mechanic (Union Hourly) – Essex Junction, VT

　　We are currently seeking qualified mechanics in our Vermont office for routes, repair, construction and modernization of elevators and escalators.

　　JOB RESPONSIBILTIES – MAINTEANCE AND REPAIR:

　　Performing preventative maintenance/testing on escalators and elevators for a high profile account

　　Performing repairs to escalators and elevators

　　Troubleshooting and adjusting escalators and elevators, as needed

　　Availability for overtime callback coverage

　　Full compliance with all aspects of the Otis safety program

　　JOB RESPONSIBILTIES – CONSTRUCTION AND MODERNIZATION:

　　Installation of new equipment

　　Modernization of equipment in existing buildings

　　Ability to work as a team member on large projects

　　Troubleshooting and adjusting escalators and elevators, as needed

　　Full compliance with all aspects of the Otis safety program

　　EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:

　　High school diploma is required.

　　EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Previous elevator experience, preferably a service route, repairs, construction and/or modernization, is required.

　　Possess (or be able to obtain) an elevator mechanic’s license in Vermont.

　　Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

　　Must be a current IUEC qualified journeyman mechanic member or become a member prior to employment.

　　Must have elevator troubleshooting skills and experience on various types/brands of equipment especially Otis and TKE.

　　Must be able to read prints.

　　Ability to independently solve problems.

　　Must possess effective and demonstrated customer service, communication and teaming skills.
