Bunzl North America is seeking a highly detailed safety professional to join our team as an EHS Coordinator. The EHS Coordinator will provide administrative support to the EHS Department. EHS Coordinator is a critical role and will serve as the SME for the EHS program implementation by partnering with the field to effectively manage EHS risk.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with Training and Human Resources to ensure correct safety training is assigned appropriately.
Assist in the management of the digital safety training platform.
Work with divisions to drive full implementation of Bunzl’s online training and compliance system.
Manage the interface and assignment of EHS software.
Reconcile multiple EHS software platforms to ensure continuity.
Develop and distribute monthly safety messages and weekly safety training.
Assist in the management of DOT Hazardous Materials SDS assignment.
Assist in implementations of EHS policies, practices, and programs to train, support, and communicate our Safety as a Value culture.
Assist in the development of safety promotion that seeks to: reduce employee injuries and equipment/material damages; highlight safety successes and opportunities across the operation; promote BNA Safety Programs.
Assist in project managing ongoing maintenance and upgrades of key safety applications.
Provide support to corporate EHS team implementing compliance with Bunzl, OSHA, DOT, NFPA, ANSI, EPA, all other federal, state, and local authorities.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs, or technical developments).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
1-3 years of safety, health, and/or environmental experience.
Critical thinking/strong diagnosis and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT Hazardous Materials regulations preferred.
Expertise in environmental health and safety within a distribution logistics environment is a plus.
Detail oriented with the ability to adjust priority of tasks.
Proficient in MS Office products to include Power BI.
Experienced in interfacing with various levels of employees and management as well as with outside agencies.
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Ability to support in organizing, managing projects, and workflow.
