　　The role

　　Busbud is looking for a highly motivated Director, Legal for the overall Busbud Group to join our growing team. This individual will work closely with our leadership team to support Busbud’s mergers & acquisitions, fundraising, and compliance with laws and regulations.

　　What you can expect from the opportunity

　　Direct 3rd party legal firms to support M&A and financing initiatives;

　　Provide legal advisory on corporate governance, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and other business transactions;

　　Identify and mitigate legal and operational risk; 

　　Ensure the organization complies with applicable laws and regulations; 

　　Design legal frameworks to support the organization’s objectives and growth;

　　Partner with third party international legal counsel to ensure compliance and best practises in foreign jurisdictions; 

　　Partner with internal stakeholders and provide legal support and advisory as required; 

　　Review, draft, and negotiate various legal documentation; 

　　Other related ad hoc tasks as required.

　　How you can impress us

　　Proven experience in working in an international, complex, and fast moving environment (managing international counsel is a plus)

　　5+ years of corporate law experience, ideally in both private practise and industry

　　Experience with mergers and acquisitions, debt financing, and / or venture capital financing

　　Legal experience in Quebec is a plus

　　Ideally legal experience with technology companies and intellectual property

　　High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency

　　English proficiency (Spanish language skills considered an asset)
