About Director, Executive Communications

  Summary:

  GEICO seeks an energetic, seasoned and agile Director, Executive Communications to support our Corporate Communications organization. In this high-impact, highly visible role, you will work to develop and execute strategic internal and external communications for members of GEICO's executive leadership team and their direct reports.

  As Director of Executive Communications, you will work with our Senior Director of Internal Communications, members of the corporate communications team as well as senior leaders across GEICO to create a comprehensive executive narrative framework and engagement plan. You will also provide strategic communications support for internal meetings, organizational announcements, internal engagements, external events and other high-profile communications opportunities.

  Collaboration, strong writing skills, attention to detail, and experience working directly with C-suite executives at large companies are vital to your success.

  Location:This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence of 3 days per week at Chevy Chase, MD. Considering other locations including the New York metro area.Key Responsibilities:Create and execute a comprehensive executive narrative framework and engagement plan for members of GEICO's executive leadership team.Develop and execute strategic executive communications strategies that reinforce the company's priorities and progress in support of key initiatives.Work closely with Corporate Communications leaders/teams to provide executive communications support in alignment with major business initiatives and events such as company announcements, new initiative/policy rollouts, etc.Build relationships with members of GEICO's senior management team and their direct reports (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Technology leaders) to better understand their business priorities and identify opportunities to advance and reinforce initiatives through effective executive communications.Establish individual voices for each leader to effectively engage and inform key audiencesCreate social media content and prepare executives for external events and interviews to increase their visibility and advance GEICO's corporate narrative.Develop presentations, announcements, talking points, intranet content, etc. on behalf of senior leaders.Collaborate with internal stakeholders on agenda and content development for leadership meetings such as companywide or department-level Town Hall meetings.Continuously measure, evaluate, and modify communications plans and tactics to improve impact and effectiveness.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of relevant corporate communications experience.Strong executive and best-in-class communications experiences at large companies with a focus on communicating to internal audiences.Exceptional communicator, able to present ideas verbally, in writing, visually, formally and informally.Versatile writer with strong business acumen who can capture the unique voice of a variety of leaders.Ability to balance strategic communications planning with day-to-day execution.Experience working with the C-Suite, boards and other high-profile leaders.Ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.Ability to influence business partners and provide recommendations to drive decision-making and execution.Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to develop executive-level presentations. Some external communications experience is preferred, but not required.A highly motivated, collaborative team player.#LI-AN1

  Annual Salary

  $143,000.00 - $224,000.00

  The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.

  Coverage begins on the date of hire. Must enroll in New Hire Benefits within 30 days of the date of hire for coverage to take effect.
