  The Role

  Do you want to make a difference in Fidelity's investment offerings and be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional team committed to enhancing our instrument readiness process and offerings within Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) to be used by our Asset Managers?

  We are looking for a Director of Alternative Instrument Readiness with a solid understanding and expertise of Alternative Instruments including Derivatives, Loans, and Digital assets.

  You will be a member of the FFIO Global Product Solutions Team (GPS) and will be responsible for the onboarding of new alternative instruments for FFIO and for coordinating the work needed to support various Asset Manager investment paths.

  You will be helping to define new service models and drive innovation in building scalable solutions to support the long-term growth of alternative instruments and reduce operational impact. This involves documenting requirements with business partners on new instrument intake, working across FFIO to understand the current support model, identifying gaps, and working with service lines and business partners to develop scalable solutions in a timely manner.

  You will work with other teams within FFIO as well as across the organization, collaborating with Asset Management, Legal, Risk, and Compliance on instrument readiness.

  The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance/Accounting with at least 3-5 of those years spent in either Derivative or Alternative Instruments.Broad understanding of the alternative fund industry, including private equity, private markets, real assets, and hedge fund products.Detailed instrument knowledge (including Listed and OTC Derivatives, Loans, Digital Assets, and other Alternatives) or experience supporting middle and back-office operations for private fund structures is preferred.Strong working knowledge regarding the understanding of the lifecycle of the complex instruments.Proven analytical skills, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.Strong project management, formal and informal team leadership skills.Flexibility and the skill to both lead and contribute to teams are musts.Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver cogent, informative presentations to all levels and functions of business leadership.Presence and judgment to put forward well-reasoned recommendations and engage in dialogue with key decision-makers.Understanding of financial and accounting principles and how to apply them in business.

  The Team

  This dynamic GPS team operates across FFIO and collaborates with investment operations, trading, compliance, legal, and oversight teams across all Fidelity asset management divisions to bring new products and services to our customers.
