Overview
The Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) is a non-profit consortium of energy companies, contractors, associations, unions, educators, and business partners working together to ensure a skilled, diverse workforce pipeline to meet future industry needs. CEWD’s coordinated approach to workforce development has united electric, natural, gas, and nuclear firms since 2006 and in 2021, in response to the need for expanded collaboration, the Center expanded its umbrella to include the workforce development needs of those working in renewables, electric vehicle infrastructure, and energy storage. Further, recognizing the merits of strategists working together, CEWD now welcomes business partners as associate members.
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Coordinator for CEWD. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting programs aimed at cultivating a skilled and diverse energy workforce. The primary focus areas include membership, administration and scheduling, exhibits and conferences, membership and staff support, along with other projects as assigned.
Responsibilities
Manage the administration and reporting of CEWD members and annual renewals.
Facilitate the onboarding process for new members.
Input information into the database and track receivables.
Maintain the organization's records and database.
Support staff travel arrangements.
Track and report on event attendance data.
Coordinate the updating and development of new website copy and social media graphics and copy.
Maintain the calendar and handle scheduling requests for the Executive Director.
Coordinate exhibits for various external events.
Manage staffing coordination, preparation, and mailing of materials.
Track payment and sponsorship for events.
Support CEWD-hosted meetings and conferences.
Prepare, order, print, and ship materials for events.
Track attendance, speakers, and sponsorship for meetings and conferences.
Provide logistical and administrative support for events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or work-experience equivalent in a related field
1 – 2 years in a membership role with demonstrated experience in interpersonal interaction, data and logistics management, and collaboration with others, or applicable/equivalent education
Experience in related field such as association management, non-profit sector, or communications preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong detail-orientated mindset
Proficient PC skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong people and customer service skills
Ability to work independently to meet objectives for service to CEWD members
Ability to learn quickly
Compensation
The salary range for this role begins at $50,200. Starting annual salary will be determined on individual qualifications. EEI also offers an annual performance incentive which is prorated for mid-year start dates. This incentive is typically up to 10% of base salary. Office Protocol
This is a hybrid position which requires the incumbent to reside in the District of Columbia metropolitan area and come into the office a minimum of three days each week with two of the mandatory days being Tuesday and Wednesday. The third in-office workday can be either Monday or Thursday.
