Description:
Our Client, RCT Systems, Power Systems Division, is seeking Industrial Control Engineers specializing in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based control systems. More specifically, Industrial Control Engineers will be involved in:
• Design and testing of large-scale safety rated control systems, specifically including energy storage and medium voltage (4160V, 1000 VDC, 13.8 kV) power distribution
• Development of PLC logic to automate large scale power systems
• Development of Human to Machine Interfaces (HMI)
• Variable-Frequency Drive (VFD) deployment
• Incorporation of high-speed data logging
• Develop overall control architectures, select parts, build test stands, and support overall system
development and third-party integration
• PLC software development
• Creation, review, and issuance of prototype and production level electrical drawings and schematics

Minimum Requirements:
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
• Experience programming Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs
• Controls Engineer
o STEM related MS with 2 years of industrial controls experience
o STEM related BS with 4 years of industrial controls experience
o STEM related AS with 6 years of industrial controls experience
o Ex-Military with 8 years of industrial controls experience
o High School Diploma with 12 years of industrial controls experience
• Associate Controls Engineer
o STEM related BS with 1 year of industrial controls experience
o STEM related AS with 2 years of industrial controls experience
o High School Diploma with 4 years of industrial controls experience
• The following experience is not required, but highly desirable:
o Military experience
o High speed communications development
o TÜV functional safety certificate
o Familiarity with MODBUS and CANbus communications
Immediate Requirements/Projects include:
• PLC and HMI software development for energy storage systems
• Selection of safety rated components for large scale control system
• Safety control system development for MV (4160V and 13.8 kV) test hardware, Navy (surface & sub), Aircraft, Army vehicles, and infrastructure
