About COMSEC Account Manager

  Description

  Leidos is a FORTUNE 500 company bringing a mix of innovative technology and sector expertise to customers in the national security, engineering, and the health industries.

  The Leidos Defense Group has multiple openings for a COMSEC Account Managers at JBLE, VA. This includes multiple levels including Junior and Journeyman levels.

  These opportunities are a part of a large Military Intelligence Program supporting the USAF Air Combat Command's Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS). Applicant manages the COMSEC resources of an organization and ensure security improvement actions are evaluated, validated, and implemented as required. Determines if security violations have occurred and takes appropriate action to report the incident, as required. Manages all protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered and advises senior management on cost/benefit analysis of information security programs, policies, processes, and systems, and elements. Communicates the value of IT security throughout all levels of the DCGS organization. Establishes the enterprise continuity of operations program, strategy, and mission assurance. Provides an overall DCGS enterprise Information Security Architecture (EISA) with the DCGS organization's overall security strategy. Evaluates cost benefit, economic, and risk in COMSEC decision making process.

  These position are supporting a proposal. We are expecting award and funding of these positions in February 2024.

  Primary Roles/Duties

  Identify the roles and responsibilities for appointed Communications Security (COMSEC) personnel.Manage Communications Security (COMSEC) material accounting, control and use procedure.Ensure that security improvement actions are evaluated, validated, and implemented as required.Determine how a security system should work (including its resilience, dependability, and capes)Make changes in conditions, operations, or the cyber security environment unique to customer.

  Required Qualifications

  Bachelors degree2 to 5 years experience within industry.DoD 8570 Compliance.TS/SCI security clearanceKnowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy.Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles.Recognize the unique aspects of the Communications Security (COMSEC) environment and hierarchy.

  Preferred Qualifications

  Previous AF DCGS weapon system experience is highly desired.

  Pay Range:

  Pay Range $49,400.00 - $89,300.00

  The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
