Jefferson County Human Services developedthe Community Support Program in 1996 to focus on helping consumersremain in the community who have a severe and persistent mental illness,which has caused profound challenges in the major areas of communityliving such as: recurrent employment, inability to consistently orindependently manage household tasks, difficulty with self-care, andother daily struggles. In order to continue to serve all consumers thatneed services, the team is looking to hire a Community SupportProfessional II to join the team and provide symptom management,psychotherapy, group activities, clinical assessment, treatmentplanning, and case management to consumers with severe and persistentmental illness of all ages. This position will also providepsychotherapy if qualified.
