Robert Half is hiring a DEI Communications Specialist to support our public affairs client in Detroit, Michigan on a long-term employment basis. The DEI Communicaitons Specialist will be responsible for community relations, working with external vendors, planning and hosting networking events, creating PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, and training materials. The DEI Communications Specialist should have a strong background in diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and initiatves, event planning, and community outreach or vendor outreach. This position is vital in promoting internal programs, managing vendors and customer relationships, and serving as the DEI face of the organization to the eyes of the public. Requirements
3+ years of experience in Communications, Event Planning, or Procurement.
Experience in Public Relations, Community Engagement, Vendor Management, Client Relations, Event Planning, Event Management, Designing Communication Materials, Creating Training Materials, and Presentations.
Familiarity with Excel, Financial reporting, forecasting, procurement, business management is preferred.
Familiar with graphic design software and Microsoft Office is preferred.
Ability to work onsite in Detroit office on a hybrid basis is required.
